Description

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC fabricating machine tools at customer locations throughout North America. This role serves as the primary technical resource for customers, ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
The position requires a hands-on technical professional with strong electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills who enjoys travel and customer interaction.


Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• Strong troubleshooting experience with electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and hydraulics
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Comfortable working independently in customer-facing environments
• Technologically savvy with experience using software and file management systems
• Flexible and adaptable professional who thrives in a travel-intensive role
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico


Requirements
• Travel to customer sites to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair CNC fabricating machine tools
• Provide high-quality technical support to maximize machine performance and customer productivity
• Document machine conditions, technical findings, and service activities
• Recommend equipment improvements and corrective actions as needed
• Train customers on machine operation and maintenance procedures
• Serve as the primary customer-facing representative during installations and service visits
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional service and support
• Support customer success by minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance


Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• Military technical experience
• Field service experience supporting CNC machinery, industrial equipment, or automation systems
• Background in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or electromechanical systems
• Experience with machine tools, lasers, or fabrication equipment
