The Field Service Technician II provides hands-on maintenance and repair services on-site for company's fleet of fuel cell installations. This position will participate in the commissioning of new fuel cells at new sites, as well as support of troubleshooting, testing and repair activities on existing fuel cell installations.

• Under appropriate guidance and direction, performs troubleshooting and repairs on fuel cells installed at customer sites.
• Collaborates with others on commissioning of new fuel cell installations
• Performs service and troubleshooting on ancillary equipment used for overall fuel cell operation.
• Understands principles of large distribution switchgear 480-volt systems.
• Experience with computer systems, preferably remote monitoring, and control systems.
• Understands mechanical and electrical componentry, plumbing, and systems operation.
• Will increasingly utilize the fuel cell remote monitoring system to control fuel cell, as directed
• Utilize electrical schematics to troubleshoot electrical components
• Domestic and overseas travel as needed

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 4-6+ years of hands-on experience servicing/troubleshooting products containing a variety of components electrical and mechanical
• AA/AS with 2-4+ years of experience, as noted above
• Electrical/HVAC trade school certification
• E1/E2 or P1/P2 license preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and fuel processing systems
• Some training and experience with troubleshooting systems
• Some relevant trades training and experience

Shift: B-Shift // 6pm - 6am on a 2-2-3 shift schedule (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) working every other weekend and also includes a 3-day weekend every other week!

Position Description:

Using hand tools and test equipment, the individual will perform maintenance on both electronic and mechanical equipment, such as industrial controls, computers, and servo-mechanisms, following blueprints and manufacturer's specifications. Performs duties within cGMPs for Medical Devices, maintaining change control, notifying QA/RA and engineering where necessary and makes adjustments only within documented and validated limits. Ensures compliance with company's quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and company's safety regulations, policies and procedures. Specific responsibilities include:

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnose causes and repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Support engineering projects-ordering and installation of new equipment, new equipment IQs.
• Continuous Improvement projects to reduce expenses, improve reliability, and reduce waste.
• Test electronic circuits to locate defects and understand the use of oscilloscopes, signal generators, amp meters, and voltmeters.
• Install, modify and understand control panel wiring. Work closely with the Controls group to understand and modify PLC programs and maintain PLC ladder logic programs.
• Train operators and assist with machine set-ups/operation as required.
• Work with central crib to maintain an inventory of spare parts, both fabricated and commercial.
• Troubleshoot and repair of pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Propose design changes and review with engineer to upgrade equipment, eliminate re-occurring problems, improve product quality, reduce costs, etc.
• Duties may require correction of problems during off shifts on a call-up basis. Work closely with tool room to make timely repairs. Work schedules may fluctuate due to product and process start up or machine issues, as well as training of new associates on the off shifts. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed.

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Technician III is a senior-level role responsible for ensuring that machined parts and assemblies meet internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry/ISO requirements. This position serves as a subject matter expert on quality inspection processes, advanced measurement tools, and root cause analysis. The QA Tech III mentors junior inspectors, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and partners with engineering and production teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs advanced dimensional inspections of machined components using precision measuring equipment (CMM, optical comparators, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Interprets complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Conducts First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements.
• Develops, reviews, and maintains inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation.
• Supports PPAP submissions and customer qualification processes.
• Leads root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for nonconforming product.
• Assists in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Mentors and trains junior QA technicians and production personnel on quality processes and standards.
• Participates in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, AS9100, customer audits).

CNC Machinist III operates and programs a CNC machine tool. This includes setting up and verifying tooling, setting part offsets, and programming computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. With little guidance, this person can complete a complex part from start to finish.
