• NDT inspector level II will perform VT, UT, MT and PT inspections on surface ship and submarine structure. Required to perform miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.

Removal and installation of hull treatment and non-metallic coatings on United States Navy nuclear-powered submarines. Position requires a willingness to learn, dependability, and the ability to think critically.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

Ability to perform carpentry-type duties to include use of manual tools, power tools, and building of containments.

Read and interpret documents as necessary, such as operating and maintenance manuals, safety rules and regulations, procedure manuals, etc.

May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of hull treatment.

Maintain a clean work environment where coatings work is being performed.

Demonstrate comprehension of complex shapes and the ability to understand symmetrical gaps both parallel and perpendicular to the ships surface shape.

Mixing of different types of solvent and adhesive materials.

Use of troweling tools and adhesives, and work with equipment specific to hull treatment installations

• The Lead Engineer is an integral part of the engineering,

• Performs Advanced-level troubleshooting and repair of complex CNC metalworking machines, process equipment, facilities support equipment, and various systems within a high-precision manufacturing facility.
• Diagnoses And repairs problems in complex precision electro-mechanical machinery and equipment down to the component level.
• Identifies Out-of-tolerance equipment and gauges, making appropriate repair decisions in accordance with company and customer guidelines.
• Analyzes Failures and implements modifications as preventive maintenance measures.
• Collaborates With management, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze problems and implement repairs or improvements.
• Sources And orders parts, supplies, and services as needed.

• Perform all on-site installation,
  repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks providing instructional
  training to customers

  programs. Allen Bradley software knowledge is a plus.
• Must have basic
  electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Dependable transportation

• Installation, Service, and Repair of simple and specialized company systems. Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer requirements and develop, with the support of programming and planning, manufacturing plans for part and assembly production
• Create and maintain revision-controlled engineering documents to support manufacturing processes
• Create and edit process traveler/routing sheets
• Use SolidWorks to provide manufacturing support
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems to return to plan as quickly and cost effectively as possible (working with all internal departments, outside vendors and our customers to achieve this goal)
• Occasionally assist in performing internal quality audits

Qualifications:

• Use of ERP systems for engineering and manufacturing purposes (for example: Epicor)
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficiency with SolidWorks
• Understanding of machining processes and equipment
• Experience with the machining of weldments, forgings and castings
• Experience with NDT (VT, LP, RT, UT)
• Previous experience with ISO/AS quality systems.
